Mount Agung is the highest mountain on the island of Bali with a height of 3142 masl. Gunung Agung is located in the district of Rendang, Karangasem regency - Bali.
Mount Agung is a volcano with a type of stratovolcano, volcanic crater that has a very large and very deep that sometimes smoke and water vapor. Climbing to the top of Mount Agung can be started from the third route, namely:
* From the south is the Strait of districts with basecamp in Karangasem regency Pura Pasar Agung market through the Strait.
* From the east is from Budakeling by jackfruit
* From the west which is a route commonly used by hikers, from Pura Besakih sub-district SELAT of Karangasem regency. Because many accidents and the loss of several climbers, since May 2009 ascent of Mount Agung each passing Sebudi, strait, Karangasem must use the services of a guide to anticipate the possibility of accidents with predetermined rates.
